Art in the Park Community Collaborations and Program:
The Art in the Park exhibit was created to present large-scale sculptures to the general public in designed cultural landscapes while enriching the lives of those that live, work, study, play, and visit spaces and places in Central Massachusetts. The exhibit provides public art sculptors with opportunities to have their work reviewed by arts professionals and exhibited. It adds to the arts literacy of visitors and the community and gives a public arts dimension to the vision of Worcester as a place where culture shines! The exhibition debuted in 2008.

Art in the Park, Worcester collaborates with the Worcester Public Schools’ arts education liaison Timmary Leary, art teachers, and students to create sculptures to exhibit in Elm Park. Artists provided by AIP mentor the teachers and work with students within the Worcester Public School. This opportunity provides the students with the experience of producing sculptures within exhibition guidelines and installation within a professional setting. Students have the opportunity to use the experience on college applications as well as continue to explore a career in the arts.
Art in the Park, Worcester at Anna Maria College This collaborative effort between Art in the Park of Worcester and Anna Maria College introduces public art to the College campus. The partnership provides an occasion to interact more intimately with the work, enriching daily life and deepening the beholder's relationship to the art and surrounding space.
The Art in the Park, Worcester Committee receives funding from foundations, local and state organizations and small and large businesses, and contributions from individuals to present this exhibit. All contributions to Art in the Park are tax-deductible, graciously accepted, and needed to continue to offer this gift to the community.
